Find the Perfect Ruby Engagement Ring

Choosing an engagement ring is personal, and for many, a diamond alone doesn't quite capture the feeling they're after. That's where ruby comes in. A ruby engagement ring offers color, warmth, and character that stands apart from the expected.

This collection brings together a range of ruby engagement rings for women who want something with genuine presence, pieces that feel considered, not conventional.

Why Choose a Ruby Engagement Ring?

Ruby has long been associated with passion, courage and deep affection, which is part of why it's such a fitting choice for an engagement ring. Its rich red hue carries an emotional weight that diamonds simply don't offer in the same way.

Beyond symbolism, a red ruby engagement ring is also a visually distinctive choice. Where diamond rings can start to look similar across brands and styles, a natural ruby ring brings color variation and individuality; no two stones are identical. For those who want their engagement ring to reflect their own story rather than blend into a familiar template, ruby offers that point of difference.

It's also a versatile gemstone. A ruby gemstone ring can feel classic or contemporary depending on the setting, which makes it easy to find something that suits your personal style while still feeling meaningful.

Explore Ruby Engagement Ring Styles

There's no single way to wear a ruby engagement ring, and that's part of the appeal.

Solitaire settings keep the focus entirely on the ruby, offering a clean, understated look for those who prefer simplicity.

Halo ring designs surround the central ruby with smaller diamonds, adding brightness and making the centre stone appear larger.

Three-stone rings often carry symbolic meaning — representing past, present and future — and work beautifully with a red ruby at the centre flanked by diamonds.

Vintage-inspired styles bring in detailed metalwork and antique ruby ring influences, ideal for anyone drawn to old-world romance and intricate design.

Ruby and diamond engagement ring combinations remain a popular choice, pairing the boldness of ruby with the brilliance of diamond accents for a balanced, elegant finish.

Choosing the Right Ruby

A few factors are worth considering when selecting your ruby ring.

Color is often the first thing people notice; rubies range from lighter pinkish reds to deeper, more saturated tones, and the right shade comes down to personal preference.

Cut affects how the stone reflects light, while clarity refers to the visible inclusions within the gem; some inclusions are simply part of a natural ruby's character.

Carat weight influences overall size and presence on the hand, and it's worth deciding early whether a larger stone or a more detailed setting matters more to you.

How to Care for Your Ruby Engagement Ring

Like any fine jewellery, a ruby engagement ring benefits from a little everyday care.

Avoid wearing it during heavy manual work, cleaning with harsh chemicals, or activities like swimming, as exposure can dull the setting over time.

Clean it gently with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, then dry thoroughly before storing.

When not being worn, keep your ring in a separate, padded compartment to prevent scratching from other jewellery.

Periodic check-ups with a jeweller can also help ensure the setting stays secure.
